This case fits snugly on the iPhone. The texture keeps it from sliding out of your pocket but allows you to remove it from your pocket with ease.

I purchased an iPhone 3GS several days ago and, based on the overall excellent reviews here at Amazon, ordered the Seidio Innocase II Surface Case in black, which arrived today. All of the positive remarks about this case are true. It fits perfectly and is sturdy, but not bulky, has a nice texture and complements my Power Support anti-glare film for the screen. The inside felt lining to protect the device also is well designed. My only skepticism about this product was the cut out in the back to expose the Apple logo that other reviewers indicated left that portion of the device vulnerable to nicks and scratches. I was pleasantly surprised to discover that Seidio has incorporated a thin, clear plastic shield over this opening that now makes the Innocase II a complete and perfect product.

I purchased this case because it seemed to add the extra protection
the iPhone needs but that would be dock friendly with the removable
bottom portion.
Here is what I liked:
-Did not add bulk to iPhone
-Worked with many dock connectors
-Buttons/ports easily accessible
-Tactile feel of material made keeping the phone in your hand much
easier
Unfortunately, after about 9 months of use, I did not feel that the
case "wore" very well. After two drops on the bottom two corners of
the phone, the case split and a piece actually came off. This did
not leave me completely unprotected however it did leave some
jagged edges that did tend to snag in pants pockets. The other
issue I had with the design is that case was IMPOSSIBLE to remove
from the phone including the "removable" bottom portion. (NOTE: I
do have a Zagg Invisible Shield on my phone so be aware). Not
necessarily a bad thing because you shouldn't have to take your
case on and off but when I did have to eventually take my case off
for cleaning, I broke the case trying to remove it.
To sum up: This case worked well when I finally got it installed on
the phone and didn't need to take it off. It was when I had to
remove it after it cracked that I became unimpressed.

A lot of people talk about the touch and feel of this case (in and
out of tight pockets easily, but does not slip out of your hand
when running).
People also like the look.
But here is where I think it shines...the edges of the case to not
come too far foward making it uncomfortable to hold to your ear. My
old case (which was a high-end brand more expensive than this one)
literally hurt my ear because it jutted out too far.
Go with this, and you will not regret it. However, stay away from
their screen covers (bought separately).
