After dropping my iPhone and learning that Apple was going to charge me 200 dollars to fix the outer screen all my friends just told me to buy a kit online. So I did, and well it was a complete disaster! First the screws wouldn't come out as easily and the plastic tools they provided just bent and became useless very quickly...it took me over 4 hours to complete the process only to turn on my phone and realize that now my LCD screen was now cracked and useless...maybe it was because my screen was so cracked that it was pointless from the beginning. I would recommend looking into iresque or something like that where I literally sent in my phone and they fixed it the day they got it and shipped it back that same day. It was a little less than half the price compared to apple and a guarentee that it would be fixed versus this product which completely broke Phone further.

If you're relatively handy but by no means a gadget surgeon, you can do this! I've never really worked on a device like the iPhone before and it took me only about 20 mintues with the help of a couple of youtube videos that come recommended in the kit. Super excited to have my screen fixed after four months of using it while shattered!
Not good instructions but the iphone worked flawlessly

The instructions are very bad, with the package comes a piece of paper with two youtube addresses, the first video is bad the guys try to open the iphone in a wrong way. the second one is less explained but useful.
Overall is a good product if you know how to open an iphone and how to split the metal frame from the old glass.
Good luck buyers, this is not a bad product at all.
Easy Screen replacement

This product was very easy to install and worked great on the repair. Everything worked well, following the you tube directions. The only thing you must do is make sure you are careful removing broken pieces of glass and not destroying other contacts for the phone. take you time.
More trouble than its worth

Used a blow dryer to "undo" the glue and managed to warp the plastic in the process. Broke my cable 3 when I was trying to reconnect the LCD with the rest of the phone. Did I mention that I needed Gorilla super glue because the sticky paper didn't do the job? I ended up taking my phone to Apple. I took a hit it the pocket, but that's what I should have done in the first place. I don't recommend this product at all.
